Wormboys are playing live on May 21 at the lovely Alder Bar! 💃 🐛

wormboys are four friends based across Leeds and Glasgow. Their eclectic noise-pop songs yoke dreamy melodies to driving rhythms and fuzzed-out soundscapes.

After building a dedicated following in West Yorkshire, wormboys have toured the UK, sharing stages with the likes of The Bug Club, Martha, SASAMI, and Ratboys (no relation). Other highlights have included a headline slot at Newcastle’s Narc Fest, a set at Leeds’ first Trans Pride, and a masterclass for students at Hereford College of Arts.

Since 2019 wormboys have published multiple EPs and singles, mostly with local DIY labels. Their latest track, “mostly still”, was released by Come Play With Me Records in collaboration with EMI North.

wormboys have recently been working on their first album, exploring new shapes and sounds of country, doom, and post-punk.

“Noisy and sweet, dreamy and driving, wormboys are a contradiction in all the best ways and a band more than ready to make their mark.” – For The Rabbits
