Have any of you had similar issues regarding wear on your friction body? We’ve had one fail LOLER in just over a year of service! Whether this is due to rope diameter, glazing, weight of the climber etc. surely it should last longer than 14 months!

The Oasi Faunistica of Vendicari Nature reserve walk around 15km. The site is situated to the south east of the island and remains protected. The hike leads to a halfway point at a historic tuna fishing house Torre Sveva, a 15th century (fishing house which is quite the spectacle) commissioned by the Duke of Noto, Pietro d’Aragona, in 1424 and completed in the second half of the fifteenth century to secure the storage of goods that existed since ancient times in the port of Vendicari. Lovely to see these natural beaches surrounded by wildflowers and calm seas and a huge variety of bird life. Vendicari reserve is visited by many species of migratory birds so well worth a trip, flamingos even frequent the lagoons 🦩 such a great day out!!
