…………and bad roads. My average time is 6½ hours and I have been here long enough now to probably know more than employed on N.S.O. (ship).

I am staying off the Victorian and have been driving because a lighter tension for over a year now and the conditions here for driving suit far worse than back home, so naturally it will come easy to easy again.

Naturally will be only too pleased when I get on the ship for home, but the job I have been on can never be bettered either in the service or civilian stream. I please myself.

If I make the trip, I can easily detail a driver off to go home the weeks pass so quickly when I am busy. I haven’t done so badly in the last 12 months however as regards finding out a few things.

I never thought I’d ever get the chance of a big Yanker truck of my own & take it through mile after mile of jungle.

It’s funny at times driving by night when the motor car is on the road which has retained the heat from the day sun and they come right up close then.
