📢 Applications now open: STEP Student Topic Leads

Scotland’s Tertiary Enhancement Programme (STEP) is seeking expressions of interest from current students in Scotland’s tertiary education sector to become Student Topic Leads.

We are recruiting:
🎓 One college-based Student Topic Lead
🎓 One university-based Student Topic Lead

We’re looking for students who will be continuing their studies throughout academic year 2026–27 and who have experience of student representation at institutional or sector level.

Delivered by CDN and QAA Scotland, and funded by the Scottish Funding Council, STEP is Scotland’s national enhancement programme for tertiary education.

As a Student Topic Lead, you’ll work alongside staff and student colleagues from across Scotland, helping to shape enhancement activity and ensure student perspectives inform national priorities.

Outgoing Student Topic Lead Adelayo Adebayo (University of Stirling) describes the role as “incredibly rewarding”, highlighting opportunities to influence sector-wide enhancement work, collaborate across institutions and develop leadership skills.
