We're heading to the finals tomorrow!
Go go BBSS!
They did it - London and South West Regional champions in the Robomission Senior category for our team!
I couldn't be more proud of these two. I remember when they walked in to our club 5 years ago and LEGO was just a bit of fun, but they've now been competing in robotics for 4 years and they are just superb. It was a tough mat today, with a lot of inconsistencies but they never gave up.
The national finals happen in Leicester this Friday.
Go team BBSS!

We've had a great time this summer at Tolworth Junior and Our Lady Immaculate's school fairs, bringing robots out that the children could control.
We've got one more fair left this summer before we go into the summer camp season (where we'll be building the largest models we've ever built at Beyond Blocks! Find out more at https://beyondblocks.co.uk/holiday-sessions/)
Come and join us this Sunday when we're going to be at the Berrylands Summer Festival with new robots and more Star Wars models for you to get your hands on, and if your little one loves building LEGO models, get yourselves booked in to our summer camp at https://beyondblocks.co.uk/holiday-sessions/
Can't wait to unveil the final version of this on Sunday at Berrylands Summer Festival
Our Innovation Lab students have been testing out a new robot game tonight involving magnets and remote controls and at the summer fair, YOU can play with it!
It still needs a bit of work, but it was great fun already!
Who's coming? Let us know in the comments!

On Saturday, we celebrated one of our teams winning the Senior Robomission category at the World Robot Olympiad London & South East Regional. And we absolutely should have celebrated them – they worked incredibly hard for that achievement and we're enormously proud of them.
But there's something else that's important to say.
At Beyond Blocks, we don't define success by trophies. Every child who represented us at WRO this year is a champion in our eyes.
For the last few months, these children have given up weekends, stayed late after sessions, rebuilt robots that didn't work, rewritten programs that failed, and faced challenge after challenge without giving up.
They learned to work as a team, to deal with disappointment, to adapt under pressure, and to keep going when things weren't going their way.
Competition day is just one day.
The real achievement happened in all the weeks leading up to it.
Some teams came home with trophies. Some didn't. But every single child who stood in that competition arena had already achieved something remarkable: they had the courage to put themselves out there, test themselves against difficult challenges, and persevere when the answer wasn't obvious.
That's what we're trying to build at Beyond Blocks.
Not just successful competitors, but resilient, thoughtful, determined young people who aren't afraid to tackle hard problems.
So while social media naturally tends to focus on the podium finishes, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate every single member of Team Beyond Blocks who took part in WRO this season.
We're proud of all of you.
Because at Beyond Blocks, the challenge is the reward.
