BANK HOLIDAY OPENING INFORMATION
Please note that our practice will be closed over the Bank Holiday period.
If you require urgent medical advice, a prescription or need an appointment while we are closed, appointments will still be available through NHS 111. The quickest and easiest way to access support is by completing the NHS 111 online form, where you can be assessed and directed to the most appropriate service.
Many local pharmacies will also remain open during the Bank Holiday and can help with a range of common conditions through the Pharmacy First service — meaning you may not need to wait until Tuesday to get treatment or advice.
Pharmacists can offer support and treatment for conditions including:
• Sore throat
• Hayfever
• Earache
• Sinusitis
• Infected insect bites
• Impetigo
• Shingles
• Uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) in women under 65
Please seek advice early and use the services available over the Bank Holiday period rather than waiting until practices reopen.
For life-threatening emergencies always call 999.
Need to see a GP urgently?
At our practice, the majority of urgent appointments are offered on the same day they are needed.
✔ High-achieving GP practice
✔ Fast access to care
✔ Friendly and experienced team
✔ Easy registration process
The numbers speak for themselves. This week alone:
95% of patients received a response to their appointment request within one hour, regardless of when they got in touch during the day.
At the same time, we’re handling twice the average volume of queries across our region.
And we’re still growing, we’re actively welcoming new patients, so do spread the word among friends and family.

Good nutrition and hydration are essential for overall health, energy levels and how your body feels day to day.
Eating a balanced diet with a variety of fruit, vegetables, wholegrains and protein helps fuel your body, while drinking enough water supports circulation, digestion and joint health. Hydration also plays a role in keeping connective tissues, including fascia, supple and functioning well. Small, realistic changes to your diet can make a big difference over time, and planning ahead is especially important during periods of fasting to maintain safe hydration and nutrient intake. 🥗💧💙✨

Don't forget! ⏰
The clocks go forward 1 hour this Sunday for Daylight Saving Time.
If your clocks don't update automatically, remember to change them before going to bed on Saturday night.
A simple change, but an easy one to forget!

BMI stands for Body Mass Index. It is a simple calculation that uses your height and weight to estimate whether your weight is in a healthy range 📊
Knowing your BMI can help identify if you may be underweight, overweight or at risk of health conditions linked to weight, such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure.
While BMI is a useful starting point, it does not tell the whole story 👇
Waist measurement is also important, as carrying extra weight around your middle can increase your risk of health problems, even if your BMI falls within a healthy range.
Understanding both measurements can help you make informed choices about your health and seek support if needed 💙✨
