Blue Robotics Rachael with DeepWater Exploration Inc. Explore3D stereo camera and aquaLUX Max LED strobes in our bespoke payload skid. The skid with the umbilical mounted cameras, allows for the cameras to tilt from 0 to -90 degrees. Mounted centrally in the skid is the brain of the operation, the SVC computer, all powered by its own stand alone battery, mounted at the rear. The skid is neutrally buoyant, so can be mounted/dismounted from the ROV without hassle. Having its own independent battery means a longer endurance, and only one cable between skid & ROV is required, freeing up all important wetlink penetrator space for other sensors. The newly released VSLAM does a great job of live image alignment, enabling the operator to ensure complete coverage.
