July is Disability Pride Month!

It's a month-long celebration designed to raise awareness about disability issues, promote inclusion, and showcase the achievements and contributions of people with disabilities.

The Disability Pride Flag is a symbol of pride and acceptance in the disability community, with each colour on the flag representing a different disability:

🔴Physical difficulties
⭐Neurodiversity
⚪Invisible disabilities and undiagnosed disabilities
🔷Mental health and emotional disabilities
🟢Sensory difficulties (deafness or blindness)
◼️Represents the ableism faced by many disabled people

Parent and Carer Support Group 📣

Are you a parent or carer supporting a child or young person with emotional or mental health difficulties, such as anxiety, low mood, self-harm, or sleep problems?

The Rise provides a safe space to come together, share your experiences, and receive valuable information and support from other parents and carers who understand. We also invite guest speakers and experts to speak at our sessions, when relevant.
