Mystery Monday! In a new occasional series, we will be sharing images of items in our collection, and asking for help to identify them. These photos were loose in the Express & Star photo collection, so we have no name, no date, and no context, other than what appears in the photographs. Can anybody help to fill in some of the gaps please?

Due to predicted adverse weather conditions, the Archives service will be shutting at 3pm today and will be closed tomorrow (Friday 9th January), in order to protect the safety of staff, volunteers and members of the public. We will review whether we are able to reopen on Saturday morning, depending on the conditions. Please contact us in advance if you are planning to visit. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
