Wow… what a year.

Since restarting Open Mic & Decks just over a year ago, you’ve taken everything to the next level — the community, the meet-ups, the production, the WhatsApp groups (and yes… the once-a-month drinks 😅).

This is what true grassroots Drum & Bass community looks like. You all make this happen!

Let’s keep moving into next year with more community, more love, more support, and more growth (maybe fewer magnums 👀). Expect pop-ups, collaborations, and plenty more HIVE energy.

Meet the Team 🐝

If we haven’t met you yet — hi, we’re Team HIVE! 🙌
We’ve been together since our early 20s, with Drum & Bass running through every part of our journey — from raves and festivals to long car rides, kitchen dances, and even a few disagreements along the way 🤣
(If Nath had it his way, D&B would’ve been playing at our daughter’s birth too!)

What started as a one-off promo in 2022 — Open Mic & Decks — quickly grew into something much bigger. The energy, the love, and the powerful sense of community took things in a whole new direction… and we’re so glad it did 🙏

Since then, we’ve watched artists grow in confidence, build skills, form friendships, and support each other beyond the mic — and that’s exactly what HIVE is about 💛

It’s a space to perform, connect, uplift, and vibe together. And this is just the beginning…

We can’t wait to see where we go next — with you all by our side 🐝
