An absolute pleasure to welcome actor Spencer Elcock to the parlour today. Spencer stars in the fantastic video Wolves put out to launch their new kit in the club's 150th anniversary year. The kit once again proudly features the city crest. I was delighted to tell Spencer more about the crest and about some of the historic civic regalia we have here in the parlour. Spencer is a brilliant young man who is hugely proud of his roots and was so keen to learn about the history of our city. You may also recognise him from the Peaky Blinders film on Netflix and we wish him every success for the future.

Being Mayor & Mayoress couldn't happen without the help and support of a brilliant team. I want to thank my Mayoral team for helping Ranjit and I settle into the role these past few weeks, to colleagues from other council departments who volunteered to help at my inauguration and to local businesses. Together we have already raised several thousand pounds for my charities and we will be doing much more over the course of the next 12 months. These people are too often behind the scenes, but we want to say a huge thank you to them all. As the saying goes, teamwork makes the dream work.
