Well, would you look at that! The bridge is back 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 we were closed today due to the foul weather but thanks the Anchor Pub & Kitchen we’ve just seen the news the bridge is back in action and we are open tomorrow to see it IRL 🥰🥰🥰

Great news for Diglis Marina and the waterfront community — the bridge is back open!

A welcome boost for local businesses and fantastic news for everyone who enjoys the marina, from boat spotters and river walkers to cyclists, dog walkers and visitors exploring the waterside. 🚲🐕⚓

If you’re passing by, why not call in to The Anchor Pub & Kitchen for a drink, bite to eat or a relaxing stop overlooking the marina.

We are OPEN Bank Holiday Monday but with a caveat….for the sake of the poor team we will stop serving hot food at 1pm. We may close a bit early if it gets too much 🥵🥵🥵🥵.

We work in a steel boat with a LOT of heat producing equipment… fryers, griddles, panini presses, hot plates, coffee machines, in a metal tube that’s positioned in full sun all day, with air conditioning that has zero effect, 3 fans and the sheer will to keep going. What a team 🥰

The gazebos will be out for some shade, the ice is replenished for the cold drinks, the coffee machine will be going for the maniacs that want a hot drink(!) and we hope you’ll stop by.

On a side note, we are HUGE dog lovers…we all own and love them on the team. Please please please 🙏 do not bring your dogs out to visit 😫 we put out dog water for them but I am so tempted to refuse to serve people who are bringing their dogs out in this heat. No dog died from missing a walk! Tell us you have a dog and we will give you a dog sausage to take home whilst it’s this hot.
