Time flies when you’re having fun…. Well we certainly did back in April supporting the paediatric physiotherapy module . At we value ongoing learning, keeping up to date and being evidenced based with our practise, but we also love supporting others. We had a great time teaching the students and even had our own ‘toddler’ to assess and learn all about typical childhood development. We love to champion and encourage others, especially because we’re so passionate about paediatric physiotherapy✨

Last weekend we had a great time supporting lots of children , a brilliant charity supporting children with Down syndrome. We worked on high kneeling, half kneeling and squatting to play with all the pre-schoolers, encouraging lower limb and core strengthening through play!!
Unbelievably most of the children that attend DEx, have very limited or no physiotherapy input. And if their referral is accepted as a toddler, they are often simply discharged once they can walk. That’s where comes in. We believe there is still a huge advantage for children with Down syndrome, having ongoing physiotherapy input throughout their childhood as they continue to grow and develop. There is so much we can support and do to help improve their physical skills further.
We all know local services are often over stretched and under resourced, but that is no reason to discriminate a child because they have a particular diagnosis. The statements in the reel were reasons were given to parents, as to why their child would no longer be receiving physiotherapy care!! Well we’re here to try and help change this narrative. 👊
Watch this space for more to come….. and if you know of a child with Down syndrome that would benefit from some extra ongoing support, please do get in touch, we’d love to support you✨

Treated myself to a day off flower show. Running your own business is hardwork, so much goes on behind the scenes and is unseen and having worked last weekend I thought a day off was much needed. I’ve had a great day with friends indulging in a all the beautiful 🌺
Big thank you to gavin for arranging the tickets for me, go check out their amazing pizza ovens people! 🍕

Excited to share that after the Easter holidays we will be starting a NEW movement group . This group is specifically aimed at school aged children that may struggle with things such as balance and co-ordination, poor handwriting, struggle to focus and concentrate, hand eye coordination and dislikes team games.
The aim of the group is to support in a small group setting and to help improve physical and emotionally literacy through a movement programme.
If you’d like to find out more or know someone who may benefit from this group, please get in touch and share with others.
The group will be led by an experienced physiotherapist and experienced primary school teacher, who both have a passion to see this group of children flourish in their everyday.
Look forward to seeing you there ✨
