For ELI-TE, effective communication means more than just sharing information; it means inspiring reflection, promoting action, and building a shared culture of learning and leadership. That is why the tone of our messaging is intentionally human, narrative-based, and emotionally resonant. Wherever possible, we prioritise real-life examples, quotes from participants, and stories from the field over abstract or academic discourse. This helps us speak directly to the people we aim to reach – youth workers, trainers, families of campers, and community stakeholders.

One of the key messages of the ELI-TE project is "𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞".
This message captures the foundation of the ELI-TE project: that effective youth leadership depends on the presence of prepared, self-aware, and ethical mentors. Young people thrive when adults in guiding roles – such as counsellors and trainers – are equipped not only with knowledge, but with emotional intelligence, pedagogical skill, and a deep sense of responsibility. ELI-TE supports these mentors through structured training and real-life practice.

𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲'𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿.

The ELI-TE Training Course Syllabus is now complete — and we want to take a moment to talk about what it actually is, and why it matters.
A 𝟳𝟱-𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗺 designed to transform counsellors from well-meaning practitioners into what we call Engagers — conscious, skilled pedagogical leaders who can work across differences and prejudices, manage difficult situations and post-traumatic reactions, and build genuinely inclusive communities.
The syllabus spans five integrated modules:
🔹 𝗣𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗴𝘆 — covers non-formal education principles, lesson design, digital tools, and inclusive learning environments
🔹 𝗝𝗲𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 & 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆 engages in history, tradition, Holocaust education, gender, and Tikkun Olam concept
🔹 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 — managing diverse group dynamics, co-facilitation, and conflict resolution
🔹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 & 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: focusing on intercultural communication, social entrepreneurship, and combating antisemitism and xenophobia
🔹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝘀 & 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 teaches to build boundaries, acquire skills for emotional regulation, and answer the needs of participants from diverse backgrounds

The guiding principle of ELI-TE is captured in its slogan: “Train the Trainers.” This reflects the project’s focus on empowering youth educators who work directly with children and teenagers in summer camps and informal educational spaces. By equipping these professionals with the tools to foster inclusion, civic values, and leadership, ELI-TE ensures that the impact extends well beyond the duration of the project.

The approach emphasizes:
• The multiplying effect of well-trained trainers on their peer networks and younger participants;
• The ethical responsibility of youth counsellors to model empathy, tolerance, and critical thinking;
• The transferability of educational materials into different national and cultural contexts.

🎓 სამცხე-ჯავახეთის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის (სჯსუ) მონაწილეობა ELI-TE პროექტში
📅 წლის დასრულებასთან ერთად მიზანშეწონილია შეფასდეს სამცხე-ჯავახეთის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის (სჯსუ) ჩართულობა ELI-TE (Education Leadership Institution – Training Engagers) პროექტის ფარგლებში 2025 წლისათვის.

🔹 სჯსუ აქტიურად იყო ჩართული პროექტის საერთაშორისო და ადგილობრივ აქტივობებში, რომლებიც მიმართული იყო საგანმანათლებლო ლიდერობის განვითარებაზე, ინსტიტუციური შესაძლებლობების გაძლიერებასა და ინკლუზიური აკადემიური გარემოს შექმნაზე.

🇵🇱 წლის ერთ-ერთ მნიშვნელოვან ეტაპს წარმოადგენდა სჯსუ-ის მონაწილეობა პროექტის კონსორციუმის შეხვედრაში ვარშავაში (პოლონეთი), სადაც პარტნიორებმა განიხილეს პროექტის მართვის, მდგრადობის, სამომავლო განვითარების სტრატეგიული მიმართულებები. შეხვედრის ფარგლებში განხორციელდა თემატური ტრენინგები, სასწავლო პროგრამების განვითარებაზე დისკუსიები და საგანმანათლებლო ვიზიტი იანუშ კორჩაკის ცენტრში, რაც საშუალებას აძლევდა მონაწილეებს გაცნობოდნენ ევროპულ საუკეთესო პრაქტიკას.

🇬🇪 ადგილობრივ დონეზე სჯსუ უზრუნველყოფდა პროექტის აქტივობების ორგანიზებას და განხორციელებას უნივერსიტეტის ბაზაზე. ჩატარდა სამუშაო შეხვედრები და დისკუსიები, რომელშიც აქტიურად მონაწილეობდნენ აფხაზური ცენტრი „მესხი ახალგაზრდები ერთობისთვის“ წევრები. აღნიშნული აქტივობები დაეთმო პროექტის მიზნების გააზრებას, მულტიკულტურალიზმისა და ინკლუზიის კონცეფციების განხილვას და განათლების როლის შეფასებას ინტერკულტურული დიალოგის, ურთიერთგაგებისა და ინკლუზიური აკადემიური გარემოს ჩამოყალიბების პროცესში.

🌟 საერთო ჯამში, 2025 წელს სჯსუ-ის მონაწილეობამ ELI-TE პროექტში წარმოადგინა მაღალი ინსტიტუციური და აკადემიური მნიშვნელობა. აღნიშნული თანამშრომლობა დაეხმარა საერთაშორისო პარტნიორობების გაძლიერებას, ცოდნისა და გამოცდილების გაცვლას, პროექტის შედეგები წარმოადგენს მყარ საფუძველს სჯსუ-ის შემდგომი ინიციატივებისთვის, რომლებიც მიზნად ისახავენ ახალგაზრდებში საგანმანათლებლო ლიდერობის, ინკლუზიისა და საერთაშორისო გამოცდილების განვითარების ხელშეწყობას.



🌐 Samtskhe-Javakheti State University (SJSU) Participation in the ELI-TE Project (2025)
📅 At the end of the year, it is appropriate to evaluate Samtskhe-Javakheti State University’s (SJSU) involvement in the ELI-TE (Education Leadership Institution – Training Engagers) project during 2025.

🔹 SJSU was actively engaged in both international and local project activities aimed at developing educational leadership, strengthening institutional capacities, and promoting an inclusive academic environment.

🇵🇱 A significant milestone was SJSU’s participation in the ELI-TE consortium meeting in Warsaw, Poland, where partners discussed project management, sustainability, and strategic directions for future development. The meeting included thematic training sessions, discussions on curriculum development, and an educational visit to the Janusz Korczak Center, providing participants with exposure to European best practices.

🇬🇪 At the local level, SJSU organized and implemented project activities at the university premises. Working meetings and discussions were held with active participation from members of the Abkhazian Center “Meskhi Youth for Unity.” These activities focused on understanding the project objectives, exploring the concepts of multiculturalism and inclusion, and evaluating the role of education in fostering intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding, and the development of an inclusive academic environment.

🌟 Overall, SJSU’s participation in the ELI-TE project in 2025 demonstrated significant institutional and academic value. This collaboration strengthened international partnerships, facilitated the exchange of knowledge and experience, and the project outcomes provide a solid foundation for SJSU’s future initiatives aimed at promoting educational leadership, inclusion, and international experience among young people.

Inclusivity is not just a buzzword! Inclusivity changes people's lives for the better.
