As part of our Erasmus+ Youth Exchange โThink Globally, Act Locallyโ, each national team is committed to organizing local dissemination activities in their home countries. These activities aim to share the knowledge, skills, and methods gained during the exchange, while bringing a positive impact to local communities. ๐คธ๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Here is the follow-up report from the Georgian team, who implemented their activity within the Samegrelo Scout Organization:
"One week ago, we returned from the Erasmus+ youth exchange โThink Globally, Act Locallyโ in Hรธydal, Norway. As the Programs Leader of the Samegrelo Scout Organization, this experience was especially valuable for us, as it gave me practical tools and ideas that our Georgian team could immediately bring back to our community.
During the project, we learned a variety of icebreaker games, energizers, and interactive activities. Many of these we memorized and started using straight away in our scout camps in Georgia, making the activities more engaging, inclusive, and fun for the participants.
While in Norway, our Georgian group developed an environmental workshop idea, focusing on giving a โsecond lifeโ to different materials. We brought this idea home and implemented it during our scout camp in Anaklia, which gathered 40 participants aged 11โ17 and 10 scout leaders. Together with the children, we built separate waste bins for paper, plastic bottles, and metal. Throughout the camp, participants actively sorted their waste, making recycling a natural part of their daily routine.
In addition to the workshops and activities created by our Georgian team, we also implemented games and workshops originally organized by other country groups during the exchange. This enriched our camp program, introduced new perspectives, and kept the participants highly engaged.
We also conducted a training session for the camp participants, where we introduced Erasmus+ opportunities and discussed environmental protection, ecology, and recycling. These activities combined our own ideas with the diverse methods we learned from fellow participants in Norway.
The practices we learned abroad proved to be highly relevant and useful for our organization. This was not just a one-day activity โ the knowledge, games, and environmental methods gained will continue to shape our camps and programs in the future. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity, which has strengthened our skills as a team, broadened our perspectives, and helped us bring tangible change to our community".
Huge thanks to our Georgian partner, Green and Inclusive Future Association - GIFA, for partnership and amazing cooperation! ๐ซถ๐ป

๐โจ Discover another exciting report from our participant about the project โThink Globally, Act Locallyโ in Norway! ๐ณ๐ด๐ก
,,Even though my trip to Norway has ended, Day 8 of the โThink Globally, Act Locallyโ youth exchange in Hรธydal still feels fresh in my mind.
As the Programs Leader of the Scouts of Samegrelo ๐๏ธ๐ฒ, I spent the day surrounded by creativity ๐จ, laughter, and conversations ๐ฌ that opened my mind to new ideas ๐ญ.
Each countryโs team led their own workshop โ from sustainable development ๐ฑ and mental health ๐ to activities that brought us closer to nature ๐. We didnโt just watch ๐ โ we took part in every single one, learning ๐ from each other and sharing our own ideas ๐ก.
Together with my amazing Georgian teammates ๐ฌ๐ช๐ค, we also contributed our own environmental activities ๐, which encouraged teamwork ๐ค, curiosity ๐, and discussion ๐ฃ๏ธ. Back home in Georgia, I brought these ideas to life during our scout camp โบ, where 40 participants and 10 leaders spent a full day learning, cooperating, and having fun ๐ฏ๐.
This exchange gave me more than just knowledge ๐ โ it gave me energy โก and motivation ๐ to keep creating spaces where young people can learn, connect, and take action ๐. Iโm thankful for the inspiring people ๐ I met in Norway, for everything we learned together, and for the friendships ๐ค that grew during those days.
๐ณ๐ดโจ Norway gave us inspiration, but itโs here at home where that inspiration keeps growing ๐ฑ.
Special thanks ๐ to all the facilitators and participants for making this experience truly unforgettable ๐ซ."

๐๏ธDiscover what our participants had to say about their experience in our latest project
๐คธ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐
,,Before arriving to Hรธydal, Norway for the project โThink Globally, Act Locallyโ I didnโt really have much expectations, since it was the fourth Erasmus+ project I had the opportunity to participate in and I wasnโt expecting anything new. But from the very first day I could already see how wrong my presumptions were - right after arriving at the farm, the place we would call our home for the next eight days, I could feel something special in the air. Being surrounded by nature, in a place so untouched and peaceful, instantly grounded me and reminded me why protecting our environment is so important. We kicked off with playful icebreakers, energizers, and name games that brought out a lot of laughter and set a warm, inclusive tone.
On the first two days we mostly focused on getting to know each other and becoming less strangers with one another. One of the highlights from these days was was our first hike to a stunning waterfall. As we walked, we participated in a โwalkie-talkieโ activityโsharing nature-related questions and reflections. It may sound simple, but in those moments, walking side by side, opening up about our thoughts and dreams, something shifted. I felt deeply connectedโnot only to the people around me but to the land beneath our feet.
Each day brought something new. From learning how to manage basic camp tasks like fire safety, kitchen duties, and water usage, to understanding the deeper meanings of teamwork and responsibility, I grew more aware of how much we take for granted in our everyday lives. On the second day, we had planned a small activity - cooking bread and pancakes on the bonfire, which helped the participants get more comfortable with each other. For me personally, it was a memorable experience, since I learned how to make bread dough for 35 people!
But perhaps the most meaningful part for me was our environmental workshops. We dove into sustainability topicsโreducing waste, composting, recycling, reusing, and embracing the 3 Rโs. These sessions made me rethink my own habits and helped me realize how powerful small choices can be.
This project taught me that acting locally can have a global impact. I came back not just with knowledge, but with a renewed sense of purpose. I want to continue making changes in my daily life, advocate for sustainability, and keep building bridges across cultures and communities.โ
