There is a pig species known as "Mangalitsa," native to Hungary, that has a coat resembling sheep wool.

The Mangalitsa (or Mangalica) is a fascinating breed, often referred to as the "sheep-pig" because of its thick, curly coat. While it looks like it might be a hybrid, it is 100% pig. This unique fleece is an adaptation that allowed the breed to survive and thrive in the harsh, cold winters of the Carpathian Basin.

The breed was developed in the early 19th century (around 1833) in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Archduke Joseph, Palatine of Hungary, is credited with its creation by crossbreeding wild boars with older Hungarian pig breeds (like the Bakony and Szalonta) and the Serbian Šumadija breed.
Initially, Mangalitsas were reserved for the Habsburg Royalty. However, they became so popular that by the late 19th century, they were the primary pig breed in Europe, valued largely for their high fat content.
