Following the Ministry of Transport directive to the security agencies to arrest drivers imposing unapproved fares, Drivers in Techiman under GPRTU and PROTOA Loading to Ejura, Nkoraza, Atebubu, etc... has refused to load their cars leaving passengers stranded.

The ministry of transport need a backup plan of deploying idle state vehicles to transport passengers at stranded locations to their destination by accepting the old fare.

When leadership fails to prioritize the needs of the state, the citizens are bound to suffer. Though one may want to exonerate the seat of government from some of these kinds of financial wastages in some state institutions, but the narrative must change due to the kind of reactions that comes from the seat of government (The President ) on matters like this. How and why should this thought even come to mind to seek for approval for this kind of expenditure at the first place when on daily basis leadership of the country through it's communicators are singing the chorus of the economy being in bad waters and the need for citizens to tighten their seatbelt for tougher day ahead.

An efficient Executive authority with the vality of this news in the public domain will immediately dissolve the membership of the board because it simply means the board will have nothing good to offer the institution moving into the future and possible some punitive measures taken and a new board reinstituted and cautions fired.

It is complete loose talk to come across this headline about the request not being approved. This request would have been approved and procurement done had a good citizen not leaked this memo into the public domain.
