Welcome to February 💕
A month of love, purpose, and new possibilities.
Happy New Month 🌸
12/01/2026
2026 has started off on a very pleasant note.
It was refreshing to see about 110 seniors attend our very first community engagement for the year at our Accra East venue - Immanuel Methodist Church, Regimanuel Gray Estates off the Spintex Road. The seniors were full of excitement and in high spirits for the new year.
Our speaker for the day, Very Rev. Solomon T. Nortey, Superintendent Minister of the Airport East Circuit and Minister-in-Charge of the Immanuel Methodist society, spoke on the theme *Positivity & Purpose* laying emphasis on the fact that growing old does not make you less useful but rather provides the opportunity to share your experiences with others lacking in the knowledge you possess. Members present were encouraged to be proud of their old age and not be ashamed to acquire or learn new skills in 2026.
Debo, our dance instructor as usual led members in an electrifying exercise and dance session to stretch out their bodies and shake off any stress. The gathering continued with our breakout activities - Board and Brain Games, Crocheting, Bible Studies, Beading, and Pampering Corner for manicure and pedicure - .
To crown the day beautifully, we shared to members present organically grown foodstuffs such as cassava, plantain, palm nut, nkotomire, Fante kenkey, sugarcane, banana, coconut, among others received from our Breman Kuntunase community venue members. Special thanks to our volunteer Osofo at Kuntunase, Rev. Stephen Addo and his hardworking team of volunteers as well as the seniors who generously sent their gifts of harvested crops.
We remain very grateful to our cherished donors who consistently support Golden Chapter in cash and in kind. To our super volunteers who avail their time and resources to attend to our beloved seniors, we say Ayekoo. To our dearest seniors who show up to “Connect and Live Fulfilled “ making our efforts worthwhile, we say God bless you with long lives.

October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and our cherished older adults embraced it beautifully!
At our Accra East Monthly Session held at Immanuel Methodist Church, East Airport, Dr. Rita Odonkor from Run For a Cure Africa (RFCA), delivered an insightful and comprehensive presentation on breast cancer. It was an enlightening session - misconceptions were clarified, new knowledge was gained, and courage filled hearts present.
In collaboration with RFCA, we conducted free breast screening, open not only to our members but also to the entire community. It was inspiring to see so many people take proactive steps toward early detection and wellness.
We also enjoyed our usual energizing dance session with instructor, Debo - stretching, moving, and dancing our hearts out! The atmosphere was electric yet soothing. Members then delved into various engaging activities: beading, crocheting, Bible studies, brain and board games—you name it!
Our dear seniors had an absolute blast and left with smiles, laughter, and lasting memories.
Let’s continue to spread awareness about breast cancer this month and beyond. Encourage everyone you know to get screened because early detection does save lives.
Connect. Live Fulfilled.
