On every sanitary product a 20 percent luxury tax and a 15 percent Value Added Tax is imposed on it. A tax imposed on a biological necessity.
A bill has been introduced in parliament to remove this tax burden.The removal of this tax will extend beyond finances.
It will improve health,education,gender equality and social justice for women in Ghana .
