This remains a three row SUV but dimensions put this much closer in size to the Grand Highlander. Seating is up to 7 with an optional bench, as the third row only sits two passengers. Around 45 cubic feet of storage with third row folded.
The dashboard setup is similar to the 2026 RAV4 but more minimalist with a distinct lack of buttons. But the base being XLE grade means there's more standard features like heated front seat and steering wheel, ambient lighting, SofTex trimmed seats and Toyota Safety Sense

The new HighlanderBEV also boasts some impressive specs, it will be offered in both XLE and Limited trims with the base XLE offering either a 77 or 95.8 kWh battery packs. The base battery offers up to 287 miles of range with the single motor FWD option that packs 221 HP and 198 lb-ft of torque. Getting Dual Motor AWD pushes the power to 338 HP and
323 Ib-ft of torque. Choosing the bigger battery also includes AWD and increases the range to 320 miles on a full charge and with its standard NACS plug, Toyota says you can charge at up to 150 kW on a Tesla Supercharger, going from 10-80% in the 30-40 min mark, depending on the battery size. This is also the first Toyota BEV that offers a V2L function, where you can use this car to power external devices.
On the outside, the new Highlander gets a much boxier and bolder appearance and we're loving the front fascia with the new Hammerhead inspired full LED lighting. The new model grows by nearly 4" at 198.8" long with a whopping 8" stretch in the wheelbase to 120.1". That makes this car only 1.6" shorter than its sibling, the supersized Grand Highlander. The inside gets loads of tech and premium touches, with a standard 14" center touch screen with their latest software from the RAV4 and wireless phone connectivity. The driver faces a 12.3" digital display and the Limited trim comes with a heads up display and 360 degree camera. The XLE AWD trim offers a bench seat with seating for up to 7, while other models seat 6 with standard captains chairs. The Limited model is painted in a new color called Spellbound with a black roof and it's paired with a new two-tone Misty Gray interior that looks very upscale. No pricing has been announced but you can expect to see this car at your local dealership by the end of this year.
