_"And did all drink the same spiritual drink: *for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them:* and that Rock was Christ" [1 Corinthians 10:4]._

_The Old Testament is Christ *concealed* and the new Testament is Christ *conceived* (revealed). Our fathers, the Israelites, passed through the wilderness to the promised land, and in all the days they spent in the wilderness, Jesus Christ followed them as their *Rock of defence.* It teaches us that in all our journeys here on earth: ministry, marriage, education, career, retirement and other life endeavours, Christ Jesus will follow us and be our Rock of defence. He did not only follow them but He was also their Fountain of living water, quenching their thirst daily. The lesson here is that whatever your thirst is, Christ suffices to quench it._

_Without exception, all the Israelites drank from the same Rock. *"And the people thirsted there for water...*(And God said to Moses)Behold, *I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb, and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink.* And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel [Exodus 17:3,6]. God gave them water because they thirsted for it. Today, the same provision is available for every thirsty soul to drink the water of Christ which is the Holy Ghost. *There is a kind of water that is not preserved in the ocean of seas or river banks but in the eternal Rock of life which if you can pray, wait for and desire, God will grant it unto you.* And this water is the only solution for end-time power and the move of God. It takes away weakness and dullness and gives empowerment for all-around success. Come now and drink from Christ, the Rock of Defence! Shalom._
