😍🌴✨ There’s just something about palm trees that always pulls me into my softest self. I feel like they carry this refreshing energy that just makes me feel vacation ready whenever I see them. Like just give me a cocktail and sit me by the water! I can’t help but relax and feel lighter.☺️

I’ve been musing on this photo as I prepare for my next show later next month & exploring ways to recreate that same vacation energy in a completely different space. It’s the kind of creative challenge that lights me up.🤩

Until then, here’s a little moment of peace as we count down. 🌴✨

💚🍀No archetype, just me 😏
Bringing back this photo from last August because I still can’t get over ’s mind! If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with nature and art, so when it comes to nature-inspired art, just give me a seat, period.

From the intricate weaving to the mix of materials that brought this imagery to life, I loved everything about these pieces from The Unlimited Show last year. To me, nature is the ultimate muse, so anything born from her inspiration is bound to be pure magic!

This was definitely one of my favorite pieces, and I’m so glad I have these photos to relive such a beautiful moment.🥰

👸🏾✨From the Queen bee to the African warrior queen, the Queen archetype is one of my favorites to explore. Although I’m highly impressed by the strength, grace & vigor she exudes, what I truly love about this archetype is that above everything, she’s mother.

Across cultures, the Queen archetype represents the union of power and nurture. She is the bridge between the spiritual and the earthly, one who governs not through domination, but through devotion. The true Queen rules by embodying the balance of masculine and feminine energies: structure and flow, logic and intuition, protection and care.

In African traditions, this archetype has been lived through figures like Yaa Asantewaa, the Ashanti Queen Mother who led her people in the War of the Golden Stool, not for personal gain, but to protect the soul of her nation. Or Queen Nzinga of Ndongo and Matamba, who negotiated, fought, and ruled with strategic brilliance and maternal ferocity. And Makeda, the Queen of Sheba, whose wisdom and diplomacy made her a symbol of divine feminine intelligence across continents.

The African Queen is never detached from her people. Her crown is not ornamental, it’s functional. It carries the weight of responsibility, compassion, and continuity. Her rule mirrors the Queen Bee, whose purpose is to sustain the hive through her pheromones to ensure life continues to thrive.

Even in the divine realm, the Queen archetype appears as Durga, the warrior goddess who rides into battle not out of anger, but out of sacred duty depicting a mother defending her creation.

So when we speak of the Queen, we’re not only talking about sovereignty. We’re talking about sacred service, the willingness to lead, to protect, to nurture, and to multiply life itself.

The Queen is a role of deep spiritual responsibility.
She is mother first, and her other roles, the warrior, the leader, the visionary are all extensions of that motherhood.

😎🔥 One of my favorite elements of ‘See Thru My Ice’ was the virtual reality experience designed by . While the photographs celebrated the beauty of our landscapes, from beaches and waterfalls to forests and flowers found right here, the VR brought these spaces to life.

From standing in the mist of Wli Falls, to walking through the density of Kakum’s canopy, even drifting along Zanzibar’s shores, guests were transported to another world for a few moments.

For me as a curator, it was important to show how art can extend past frames on a wall and merge seamlessly with technology, creating layered experiences that are both tangible and immersive. It was not just a show, it was a continuous feeling experience.

Cocktails inspired by the very scenes on display completed the multisensory experience. Nature, taste, vision, and innovation all in one evening, curated by yours truly 😉🥂
