And someone in Africa who has no idea the figures that makes up $10Bn is telling you to focus on "one thing alone and that you shouldn't be Jack of all trade"...

See, they say If you want to drive a Rolls Royce, don't take advise from someone driving a Toyota...

Being focussed on one thing is good but in that one thing diversify into several aspects of it.

Have multiple streams of income. It's good to be laser focused, but if your strength and finance can carry you, you can focus on more than one thing at a time. And that is totally acceptable.

Don't let people who can't sustain more than one thing limit you from expressing your full potentials as a high performance person.

God gave some 1 talent, 3 talents, 5 talents... If you are given 5 then you can carry 5, don't let someone who is designed to carry only 1 make you feel guilty for carrying 5. With your talents, you're also expected to make profit, to multiple profits... And, he (GOD) takes from the ones who don't make profit out of their talents and give to the man who has more talents... Let's leave the Bible small.

Look at Dangote, the richest man in Africa, he has spread his tentacles on several businesses and sectors. He's now a house hold name in Nigeria / Africa...

He's into cement production, noodles, salt, sugar, etc... Now he's building a crude oil refinery — one of the biggest and advanced in the continent.

Mark Zukerberg, who you may think is laser focused; in one company Meta, he has Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and other big projects too like virtual reality and augmented reality among others.

See, I've studied and I've found out that diversification equals wealth.

All of your companies and ideas can come alive, let there be no limitations in your mind; diversity by all means.

If It took four rivers to water the garden of Eden, thus you need a minimum of four good businesses to sustain and create wealth. At this junction, dear young entrepreneur — Go and WORK it out!
