It's exactly one week when this innocent Police constable was shot in broad day light at Lapaz by two unknown individuals when he tried to stop, and arrest them. As typical of us, we have neglected both wife and children this officer left behind simply because he was not a senior officer in the Police or a known figure in Ghana. Many people are not celebrating this bold police officer who died in the line of duty whiles protecting us. Why are we creating the impression that some lives are more important than others? Why have we stopped the fight for justice? Will this discriminatory attitude not kill the morale of the Police, and personnel in the other security services? And where are the killers of Constable Owusu? Well, is anyone surprised? This is Ghana. However, the wrong perception many people have about the Police must change. The PPP is celebrating this courageous Police Officer.
