Kurt Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has denied media rumours that his organization has already met with acting Black Stars coach Otto Addo to discuss extending his contract ahead of the 2022 World Cup.

Following his excellent leadership of the Black Stars to their fourth World Cup berth after missing out on the 2018 tournament in Russia, reports have surfaced that Otto Addo has agreed to accept a contract extension until December 2022.

Mr. Okraku, on the other hand, has rejected the claims in a Facebook post.

"I awoke to a slew of news about Coach Otto Addo this morning. Truth::: Ghana has yet to meet with Otto Addo's employers. Mr. Okraku wrote, "Steps are being taken in that direction, and we will keep everyone updated on our progress."

"Our football association is focused on putting our technical staff in place for forthcoming missions," he continued.

However, GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum confirmed on GTV Sports Plus on Thursday night that the FA boss is still in Europe, meeting with Borussia Dortmund, Aston Villa, and Nordsjaelland about the possibility of re-engaging Otto Addo, George Boateng, and Didi Dramani ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

In Group H of the 2022 World Cup, which will be hosted in Qatar in November, the Black Stars will face Uruguay, Portugal, and South Korea.
