Fatherhood
According to a fact stated in the movie, Courageous, 10% of armed robbers are from fatherless homes. This is something to be worried about. 10% of armed robbers, in simple terms mean out of 100 robbers, 10 are from homes without fathers. This also means that 10 out of 100 armed robbers across the globe had the chance not to become robbers, but the lack of fathers made them become so.
The next important question to ask is where does the cycle begin? Where does the irresponsibility in fathers begin? Well, it begins from when a boy is born. Fatherhood does not actually start when a man has a child, it starts when a boy starts growing up. Every belief, every play, every movie, every word, every relationship, every friendship, every food, every thought, every exposure, everything adds to making of a father. A man is the sum total of how he grew up. Whatever has imparted his life is part of the experiences he gathers as he journeys towards becoming a man. He treats women in the way he has seen his society treat women. He sees things in the way he has been exposed to. The making of a father starts with the good mentorship and friendship of a father.
My dear parent reading this, do not think you are merely raising a son, you’re raising a husband and a father. Every son passing through your hands is a father and a husband. How are you raising them? To be matured and responsible or to be simply fun loving and self-centered? There are subtle ways in which boys are made to become irresponsible. The focus of this post is not on that. At the appropriate time, we will focus on that solely. But brief among those practices is unnecessary praising of a child. Inasmuch as it’s important to lift the self-worth of a child, praising a child when not necessary begins the buildup of unnecessary ego in the child. The feeling of everything must go my way because I’m the most important and special person begins to set in. There is absolutely no single individual who is the most important, everyone is. Teaching a child that all men are special and important creates a wonderful acceptance of others. It reflects in how a child sees other children and consequently develops respect for others. If he begins a relationship he will respect his partner’s feelings. He will value her opinion. There must be a balance of praise and discipline to correct pride. These little upbringing are the building blocks of life and must not be taken lightly. That’s why the ability to make babies is not in children, because it takes maturity to raise lives. It takes someone who has gone through life enough to raise another life. It’s a parent’s responsibility to raise children especially in the fear of God. Society is dead to godliness and morality. Leaving the outcome of your child’s life to society is detrimental. The current society will choose anything aside morality.

Want to feel better, have more energy and even add years to your life? Just exercise.
The health benefits of regular exercise and physical activity are hard to ignore. Everyone benefits from exercise, regardless of age, s*x or physical ability.
Need more convincing to get moving? Check out these seven ways exercise can lead to a happier, healthier you.
1. Exercise controls weight
Exercise can help prevent excess weight gain or help maintain weight loss. When you engage in physical activity, you burn calories. The more intense the activity, the more calories you burn.
Regular trips to the gym are great, but don't worry if you can't find a large chunk of time to exercise every day. To reap the benefits of exercise, just get more active throughout your day — take the stairs instead of the elevator or rev up your household chores. Consistency is key.
