Global CalMathics Institute for Inclusive Education and Technology

On Friday, May 9, the Global CalMathics Institute for Inclusive Education and Technology trained 22 mathematics teachers at Navrongo SHS, in the Upper East Region of Ghana, through the 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲-𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐓𝐢𝐌𝐄) 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦

This session introduced the teachers to 6 major calculator strategies:

1. 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠

2. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

3. 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

Also, we’re laying the groundwork for the full-scale implementation of the 𝐓𝐢𝐌𝐄 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 at the school—ensuring more students benefit from tech-driven mathematics education. We appreciate Nabia, the headmistress and all math teachers of the school for making this a success.
