Alhamdulillaah earlier today, we were joined by our friends from the media at the International Press Centre, Accra to address the nation on the topic: Improving the Efficiency and Welfare of Pilgrims in Ghana, the Role of Government.
This is part of the advocacy work of The Patriotic Muslim Front and its partner the LeadGate Foundation in calling for improvements in Hajj management and operations in Ghana.
We offered workable solutions to the persistent debt overruns largely brought forth by exchange rate volatitilies and inefficiencies in Haj operations and management.
We believe the establishment of an Independent Hajj Commission and a Hajj Trust Fund are best bets to ending the cycle of debts and to improve transparency and accountability.
