Your apostle, pastor, bishop, or senior leader does not have the luxury of walking away from the church because they felt used, overlooked, offended, dishonored, abused, or lied on. They don’t get to step back every time someone mishandles them. They don’t get to disappear when the assignment becomes uncomfortable. They don’t get to quit because people didn’t appreciate them, understand them, or treat them fairly.

This is the cost of spiritual leadership. Unfortunately, a mantle does not come with escape routes. God does not consider your convenience when He calls you.

Leaders carry what others are allowed to drop. They serve while they’re grieving. They lead while they’re hurting. And they have to stay committed even when people are inconsistent.

What many don’t realize is the same reasons people leave a church are often the same reasons a leader stays.

They stay so healing can happen.
They stay so stability can be maintained.
They stay so maturity can form.
They stay because God called them, not because people treated them right.

This is why honor matters. This is why prayer matters. This is why covering your leaders matters.

The weight they carry is real. The sacrifice is costly. And the grace that keeps them showing up is truly supernatural.

Every pastor that’s not easily accessible is not arrogant. Some have PTSD from their accessibility being abused.
