Anti-feminist movements are on the rise, attacks on human rights defenders are increasing, and the legal status of women's rights is compromised in many countries. Regressive new laws increase the powers of perpetrators of domestic violence, and the government cracks down on protesters against femicide and gender-based violence. The past 16 days have been a time for individuals and organizations to call for an end to gender-based violence. Let's keep campaigning. 16 Days of Action against Gender-Based Violence is an annual campaign that begins on November 25 and runs until December 10 (International Human Rights Day). The campaign aims to eliminate violence against women.
