Jesus taught us that in prayer we shouldn’t pray to him but pray to his father. In the prayers Jesus taught his disciples to pray, first thing he taught was to pray “Our father, who art in heaven”. Our prayers should be directed to the father not the son and certainly not the mother. Some people pray to Mary instead of praying to God. Even Mary acknowledged in Luke 1:38, that she was the handmaiden of the Lord when she prayed to God; “be it unto me according to thy word”. No man sustains the power or capacity to answer prayers.

Prayers that will receive answers must be prayed to the right person. “O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.” Psalms 65:2
