Good Move President Trump.

US President Donald Trump said Israel has been ordered to halt further strikes on Lebanon, declaring in a post on Truth Social that “Israel will not be bombing Lebanon any longer” and that such actions are “PROHIBITED… Enough is enough!!!”

His remarks come after a ceasefire took effect between Israel and Lebanon, with Trump also indicating that issues involving Hezbollah would be handled separately, signalling a shift in how Washington is managing the conflict.

For the people of Sudan, nowhere is safe.

“My Take on the Kexx Sanneh Arrest!

The arrest of Kemeseng “Kexx” Sanneh over alleged sexual offenses involving a 17-year-old student has sparked heated discussions across The Gambia. As someone who has followed Kexx’s work as a court reporter and anti-corruption activist, this news is deeply concerning on many levels.

Let me be clear:
Sexual violence and the exploitation of minors are serious crimes that have no place in our society. If the allegations are proven true that a minor was impregnated and has now given birth, then justice must be served without fear or favor. No one, regardless of their activism, public profile, or past contributions, should be above the law. Protecting our young girls and holding perpetrators accountable is non-negotiable.

At the same time, we must insist on due process. Kexx is currently in police custody at Kairaba Police Station, but he has not yet been formally charged. Investigations are ongoing. In a country where political tensions often colour high-profile cases, it is important that the police and the courts focus strictly on the evidence, not public sentiment or past grudges.

I’ve seen some people rushing to defend him unquestioningly because of his activism, while others are already pronouncing him guilty. Both extremes are dangerous. Let the facts come out. Let the victim be protected and supported. And let the justice system do its job fairly and transparently.

This case should also force us, as a society, to reflect on how we can better protect young girls from predation. How do we break the culture of silence and impunity around sexual offenses? And how do we ensure that even our “heroes” and vocal critics are held to the same moral and legal standards as everyone else?

May the truth prevail, and may justice be done — real justice, not mob justice or selective justice.
