Lamin Camara finished with a timing of 20.78 seconds in the 200-meter heats of the prestigious Amiri Cup in Qatar, a tournament sponsored by the King of Qatar.

Lam Basse, as famously called, has been on the rise from his early school championship days in Basse, to national and now an international career as a young athlete.

The Upper River Region has once again claimed academic glory, proudly retaining the coveted Valedictorian Title.

This year’s overall best graduating student at the University of The Gambia is Mr. Ebrima Sumare, a staff member of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (MoBSE) and a proud native of Wulli Barrow K***a, URR.

Mr. Sumare, a Mathematics specialist works under the Performance, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate (PMED) at MoBSE.
