Our journey in the SESDO Nawettan Qualifiers 2026 came to an end after a heartbreaking 5-4 penalty shootout defeat to West Side, following a 1-1 draw in regulation time.

LC Rising Stars got off to a perfect start, taking the lead in the 18th minute of the first half with a well-worked goal by Alieu Jaiteh Mahrez. We fought with determination and looked set to progress, but West Side found a late equalizer in the 44th minute of the second half, sending the match to penalties.

Despite the disappointment, we are incredibly proud of the commitment, passion, and fighting spirit shown by our players throughout the match. Football can be cruel at times, but setbacks only make us stronger.
