A new model of hospitality in the forests of Greece:

TRINE NESTS: A wooden retreat, where architecture restores life one nest at the time

Trine Nests is set within the forests of Evrytania, designed as a retreat for people and a refuge for endangered species. Sculpted timber volumes are embedded in the terrain, echoing the geometry and tonal palette of the mountain landscape while hosting both visitors and wildlife. Form, structure, and materiality follow a shared logic of coexistence, allowing architecture to actively participate in the life of the forest.

Regenerative façades integrate nesting habitats for birds, bats, and pollinators, while off-grid systems powered by sun, earth, and water cycles support net-zero operation. Rainwater harvesting, circular material use, and passive design strategies shape a fully self-sufficient environment.

A retreat for people. A refuge for the species that need it most.
