UMBRÀL ARCHITECTURE

Created in response to its serene yet dramatic setting, right on the edge of the Aegean Sea, "Some Feathers" proudly represent the evolution of agrotourism.

A sanctuary consisting of five partially underground residences echoing the natural topography. Only imprint of human touch is a series of minimalistic wooden canopies, lightly floating above the surrounding olive grove. Subtle thresholds blur interior and exterior, offering an engaging, nature-connected experience despite the minimalist form.

Designed with biodegradable materials and adhering closely to passive design principles, "Some Feathers" blend sustainability and serenity at the heart of this remarkable location.

We are thrilled to announce that ‘’Floating Cubes’’ received a honourable mention at the Greek Architecture Awards by DOMa.archi !

A monolithic yet modular system, perfectly harmonized with the dry and barren ecosystem.

A series of six cubes (5.85 x 5.85 x 3.50 meters each) accommodating the essential facilities of a home (living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom), along with two patios, one facing inward and the other outward towards the natural landscape and the sea.

A complex with a plain yet sophisticated, non-hierarchical sequence of enclosed and open spaces, achieving unobstructed sea view while shielding the open areas from the strong Aegean winds.

And at the heart of it all, a public square occupying the central part of the volume, inviting inhabitants to gather and share.
