Στη μνήμη της Lili Hinstin (10 Ιουλίου 1977 – 31 Μαρτίου 2026)

Μια μορφή με όραμα που διαμόρφωσε τις προβολές του σύγχρονου κινηματογράφου, που έφερε μια τολμηρή και ανήσυχη ματιά στα φεστιβάλ που διαμόρφωσε από το EntreVues Belfort έως το Locarno και το Biarritz. Στο Locarno, επαναπροσδιόρισε την ταυτότητα του φεστιβάλ μέσα από μια πολυσυλλεκτική και συμπεριληπτική προσέγγιση, δίνοντας χώρο σε δημιουργούς από κάθε γωνιά του προγράμματος και ενισχύοντας φωνές που συχνά έμεναν στο περιθώριο.

Οι διοργανώσεις της άφησαν ισχυρό αποτύπωμα: από εμβληματικές καλλιτεχνικές συναντήσεις και βραβευμένες ταινίες έως σημαντικά αφιερώματα. Μέσα στην πανδημία, επανεφηύρε το φεστιβάλ με το Locarno 2020 – For the Future of Films, στηρίζοντας έργα που είχαν διακοπεί και διασφαλίζοντας τη συνέχεια της κινηματογραφικής δημιουργίας.

Η παρακαταθήκη της ζει μέσα από τις ιστορίες που ανέδειξε και το μέλλον του κινηματογράφου που βοήθησε να διαμορφωθεί.

In memory of Lili Hinstin (10 July 1977 – 31 March 2026)

A visionary force in contemporary cinema, she brought a bold, curious perspective to every festival she shaped from EntreVues Belfort to Locarno and Biarritz. At the helm of the Locarno Film Festival, she redefined its identity with an inclusive and eclectic vision, championing filmmakers across all sections and elevating underrepresented voices.

Her editions left a lasting imprint: from iconic artistic encounters and award-winning films to groundbreaking retrospectives. In the face of the pandemic, she reimagined the festival with Locarno 2020 – For the Future of Films, supporting projects interrupted by crisis and ensuring cinema continued to move forward.

Her legacy lives on through the stories she believed in, the voices she uplifted, and the future of cinema she helped shape.
