Energy security remains one of Europe’s defining strategic challenges and regional cooperation is more critical than ever.

The Delphi Economic Forum was honored to participate as an event partner in the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum 2026 (12–13 May) organized by the New Strategy Center - NSC, contributing to the programme by moderating the session:

“Energy Corridors and the Impact on European Security”

Chaired by Orestis Chatzigiannakis , Senior Content Manager of the Delphi Economic Forum, the discussion brought together policymakers, energy leaders, and international experts to examine the future of European energy resilience.

The panel explored the importance of energy diversification and interconnectivity, with particular focus on the strategic role of the Vertical Gas Corridor as a key pillar of supply security during periods of geopolitical uncertainty. The discussion also addressed the broader implications of tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, highlighting how regional instability can directly affect European energy markets and security architecture.

A timely and important dialogue on the intersection of energy, geopolitics, and European resilience.
