Private Residence in Menidi

A family home defined by clear geometry and a balanced interplay of mass and lighter suspended elements.
At its centre, a two-storey concrete volume anchors the composition, while timber cladding and white rendered surfaces add warmth and contrast.
The main living areas extend toward the garden, opening the house to the greenery of the plot and the surrounding neighbourhood.

From open-air venue to Olympic landmark.

Originally built in 1991, the Olympic Velodrome at the Athens Olympic Athletic Center was transformed for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games through a major refurbishment and expansion by Santiago Calatrava Architects and Engineers. The addition of its iconic roof and the redesign of its interior facilities turned it into one of the most recognisable parts of the Olympic complex.

As part of the local supporting team, EB/Architects developed the layouts and overall design of the refurbished interior spaces, including training halls, support facilities, reception areas, and VIP lounges.
