Some experiences remind you exactly why you started…

Feeling honored to have been part of the first-ever , alongside , which took place here in Athens last month — a celebration that brought together some of the most inspiring chefs in Greek gastronomy and beyond.

With food being such an integral part of my life — and truly the source of inspiration behind my own brand — it felt deeply meaningful to connect with people who have mastered the art of expressing creativity through food. What moved me most was witnessing how many of these culinary creators now carry a shared responsibility to shape a more sustainable and conscious future for gastronomy.

(And hearing words of wisdom from the legendary was the perfect reminder of why we do what we do.)

One of the most powerful things about film is its honesty.
No filters, no retakes- just a frame, a moment, and the willingness to let it be.

These film scans were taken by .gpp, one of the creatives who joined us on our recent retreat in Chania, Crete. Her choice to use this medium felt like a reflection of some of the retreat’s most essential qualities. Film is an art form that invites you to slow down, pay attention, and press the shutter only when your heart tells you to.

Like the retreat itself, shooting on film is a practice in presence. You can’t preview or perfect. You simply notice, capture, and trust. Each image becomes what it becomes-and that, in itself, is enough.

To see Cheli’s full collection of film scans, head to her profile .gpp. And if you’re interested in attending my next creative retreat, comment “retreat” and I’ll send you the details.

We spent five days on the island of Corfu for Greek Easter (Pascha)—and these are just a few glimpses from our time there.

Corfu (Kerkyra) is the westernmost Greek island, and its layered history—shaped by Venetian, French, and British influence—gives it a character all its own.

Most of our time was spent in Corfu Town, the heart of the unique Corfiot Pascha celebrations. It was beautiful, soulful, and unlike anywhere else we have been in Greece.

This is 40 : a simple scene—homemade bread, freshly brewed coffee, in the soft light of my kitchen—feels like the perfect reflection of where I am in life. Right now, I crave nothing more than simplicity, peace, and the kind of love that feels calm and steady, like a warm embrace.

My birthday always seems to fall on a cold, gloomy day, but I’ve made it a tradition to fill my kitchen with warmth and coziness by baking something sweet and comforting. This year, it’s a recipe I’ve been working on perfecting: Greek raisin bread, or stafidopsómo. There’s nothing quite like enjoying it fresh from the oven, paired with a hot cup of coffee, and shared in the company of my love.

The last 40 years have been a journey of growth, learning, and discovering what truly matters. Each moment has shaped me into the person I am today, and for that, I am deeply grateful.

As I step into this next decade, I’m holding gratitude for the lessons learned, the people I’ve loved, and the beauty of life’s everyday moments. Here’s to this new chapter and to the sweetness of what’s yet to come 💛✨
