Nubero

A shadow in the storm, a wanderer between sky and earth.

He comes from the folklore of northern Spain, especially the mountainous regions of Asturias, Cantabria, and parts of León. In these traditions, Nubero is a storm-bringer, believed to travel through the skies wrapped in dark clouds, summoning thunder, lightning, and hail. Farmers both feared and respected him, as he could just as easily destroy crops as bring much-needed rain.

For this piece, I’ve also woven in orientalism-inspired elements drawn from Caucasus regions, blending visual and cultural motifs to reimagine his presence through a different lens.

Once I imagined an illustration of the fictional alter ego of  George Seferis. It was 2021, a wild year, like an ocean, like a far nostalgia with a citric aroma.

A canvas with was ready to be taken by AI a day like today in Easter time.

Sometimes I go back to my works in 2019,where I explored expressions, spirituality and modern void to understand the crash of our times to understand 2026.

Corazón vacío was a cocktail between Ernesto Sábato and his inspirations from Russian literature.

A emptiness might be filled with faith for whom belive in religion and with values for whom doesn't.
