🙌 The Spring School 2026 has successfully held on May 27-29❗️
💡Over three intensive and inspiring days, students, graduates, researchers and PhD candidates from Greece and Bulgaria explored cutting-edge technologies and innovation pathways shaping the future of sustainable smart cities.
🎯As a key partner of the METACITIES Excellence Hub in South-Eastern Europe, the , on behalf of the Πανεπιστήμιο Πελοποννήσου - University of the Peloponnese was proud to contribute to the organization and implementation of this international educational initiative.
📌The Spring School covered a broad spectrum of topics, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Twins, Cyber-Physical Systems, 5G Networks, Cybersecurity, VR/XR Technologies, IoT, Cloud and Edge Computing, as well as Entrepreneurship, Technology Transfer, Intellectual Property Rights and the journey from research to innovation.
🗣️Among the highlights of the programme was the lecture delivered by Dr. Christos Antonopoulos , Associate Professor and Deputy Head of ESDA LAB, entitled “From Embedded to Cyberphysical Systems Leveraging Edge/Cloud Computing, Digital Twins and AI”, which explored how emerging technologies are transforming embedded systems into intelligent cyber-physical ecosystems for next-generation industrial and smart city applications.
