Over the next 5 years, the DOF Subsea & GFF partnership will deliver GYD $40 million investment and establish Guyana’s first-ever dedicated girls’ football academy, built within FIFA’s global Arena initiative, positioning Guyana among the early movers in the Caribbean to deliver structured, safe, high-quality environments for young girls, especially those in Haslington, East Coast Demerara.

As Director of Marketing and Commercial Strategy at the Guyana Football Federation, it was a privilege to help articulate and support GFF President Wayne Forde’s vision for girls’ football, aligning it with DOF Subsea’s commitment to long-term impact, community transformation, and girls’ development.

We’re building a fresh football ecosystem and economy in Guyana. One that is structured, scalable, and designed to create real pathways, real access, and real opportunities. I also want to sincerely thank the businesses, private sector organisations, and members of the diplomatic corps who showed up and supported this moment at the World Trade Centre in Georgetown. Your presence matters, and it signals that Guyana is ready to move forward together.
