I would like to thank the British High Commissioner for her comments of this matter.
We have a few persons in Guyana who continue to advocate for the scrapping of the current NRR, but they cannot rationally explain their reasons nor are they willling to listen to the facts as it relates to the accuracy and security of the current NRR , however I am sure they are all now going to be upset with the views expressed by the British High Commissioner.
THANK YOU JANE!

If they do not stop and come to the table in good faith and if they do not stop dividing Guyanese then I predict that one good day in the future , a person of Spanish decent will emerge as the political leader of Guyana.
And we will all still be fighting eachother while others take over and become the leaders of our homeland.
Every different day in Guyana is the same threats of street violence from anti Government forces.
They sound like the
“big and bad men” I grew up with in lodge housing scheme.
Every other day one of them is comparing Guyana to some other country which is in social turmoil and political upheaval and predicting that Guyana is going there.
Guyana is a Democratic Country with fair and free elections and we the people could change the a government if we are unhappy with their performance.
We do not need threats of street violence and cussing out ,
we need rational leaders to sit around the table and prepare to work together in good faith.
We need leaders who are prepare to work harder day and night to make Guyana a better place for the future generations

Time for
“Critical Support”
The contents of this article Is disappointing.
Mind you , I totally understand that a political opposition is meant to be working every day to prepare themselves to becoming the next Government by bad mouthing the sitting Government.
However , there comes a time when destructive and negative politics played by an opposition could actually back fire on the opposition and make them look like the villains who are anti development.
This invitation by the US Administration and visit by His Excellency is such a fantastic and honorable opportunity for Guyana and Guyanese now that the relationship between the USA and Guyana is being fostered and strengthen.
This is the time when it would be the sensible and appropriate thing for the political opposition to shift into a mode of “CRITICAL SUPPORT”.
Keep the Government feet to the fire while supporting the actions and policies that make sense and are good for Guyana.
