I warmly congratulate Dr. Sugrim, Head of Ophthalmology, along with the wonderful team at GPHC, and extend special thanks to visiting surgeons Dr. Lloyd Williams and Dr. Song from Duke University for their exceptional efforts over the past three days.
Together, this remarkable team successfully performed at least 17 corneal transplants, restoring sight and changing lives here in Guyana. Their dedication, skill, and commitment to excellence are genuinely inspiring.
