As part of its ongoing commitment to protecting and improving public health, the Environmental Health Department of the Regional Health Department, Region 10, in collaboration with the Vector Control Department, conducted a chlorine tablet distribution and larviciding exercise throughout the Rich Man Hill community in Linden. The activity was aimed at reducing the prevalence of mosquito breeding sites, preventing the spread of vector-borne diseases, and promoting safe water practices among residents.

During the exercise, officers engaged community members and provided important health education on the proper use of chlorine tablets for water treatment, the importance of maintaining clean surroundings, and measures that can be taken to eliminate stagnant water where mosquitoes breed. Larviciding was also carried out in identified areas to help control mosquito populations before they reach adulthood, contributing to a healthier and safer environment for residents.

The Regional Health Department remains committed to working closely with communities and stakeholders to strengthen disease prevention efforts and improve environmental health standards across Region 10. Such initiatives play a vital role in safeguarding the well-being of residents and fostering greater awareness of the importance of community participation in public health activities.
