WWF Hungary and the Department of Communication and Media Science at Corvinus University jointly organized a workshop for journalists, media professionals, and communication and media science students on how to report responsibly about large carnivores.

During the workshop, we discussed how these animals are represented in the media, how such portrayals can shape public attitudes and opinions, and how to avoid exaggerated, sensational, or misleading narratives in wildlife reporting. The discussion focused on Hungary’s large carnivores – bears, wolves, and lynx – as key examples.

For those professionals who could not attend this time: WWF Hungary’s experts remain available to support the media with advice and professional collaboration in the future.

The workshop was organized and moderated by our PhD candidate, Anilla Till.
