The 2026 Global Conference of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development will take place from 15 to 17 July 2026 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. The report highlights trends and patterns in higher education and academic rights around the world.

Academic Freedom Index The Academic Freedom Index (AFI) assesses de facto levels of academic freedom across the world. It is a collaborative effort between researchers at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), and the V-Dem Institute.
