HUMIC - Human Centric Engineering

With the topic “Tips and Tricks to Initiate International Collaboration”, HUMIC Engineering Research Center of Telkom University presented a webinar that was held online via Zoom on Wednesday, 22nd July 2020. It was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Toni Anwar as a speaker (a Lecturer from Universiti Teknologi Petronas Malaysia), Dr. Satria Mandala as the Director of HUMIC Research Center, and Dr. Rina Pudji Astuti as Vice-Rector IV. This event attracted 440 registrants, with 218 participants in attendance. Registrants and participants consist of lecturers, researchers, students, and others from different institutions all around Indonesia and abroad, such as Malaysia.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Toni Anwar said that to initiate international collaboration, the important things to do are:
1. We need Topics, Partners and Funding
2. Keep in touch with your friends and colleague
3. Find relationships with similar passions, e.g. in conferences.
4. Contact new relations e.g. Grant providers can be first good starts
5. Maintaining relationships is easier than reconnecting

We hope this event could give new insight and knowledge for participants, especially for those who want to initiate international collaboration research.
