Tensegrity, derived from the concept of ‘tensional integrity,’ is a structural principle that combines isolated compression elements with a continuous network of tension, resulting in lightweight yet remarkably stable forms. In Habitechno 7 - Bamboo Parametric Tensegrity workshop, we will explore the application of tensegrity using bamboo, a sustainable and resilient natural material. Participants will gain both theoretical insights and hands-on experience in constructing bamboo tensegrity models, while learning how this innovative system can be designed through parametric modelling. The workshop highlights the potential of tensegrity to inspire efficient, adaptable, and aesthetically refined structures.
